Sandy ~ we get a dog in our show!

There are so many great parts in Annie Warbucks ~ (read the character descriptions at the tab above again!) ~ Journey kids have absolutely GREAT opportunities in this show.

Being a dog lover I just have to bring attention again to the part of Sandy, Annie's lovable dog.  Although Sandy has no speaking lines, Sandy may get the greatest audience response!  Dogs can be a bit unpredictable.  In VE's Annie, our Sandy ate dropped popcorn kernels all across the front of the stage in front of the curtain as our movie usher tempted her across.  A dog can certainly steal the scene!

So, if you know a "scene stealing" dog or one that you know EVERYONE would just love, we are having DOG AUDITIONS on Friday, January 4th.  Here are notes from our Director.

***Dog auditions will be held for a larger dog for this role same day of auditions AFTER all student auditions.  (All breeds considered) Owner willing to be at a few rehearsals, dress week and all performances. Prefer that someone other than a cast member be with dog at all times.
Looking for the following (but not required):
Well trained
Sit on cue
Bark on cue
Stay in a large enclosed box
(Can cast a student as a dog handler if needed, please note on your child’s audition or crew form if interested.)
